Yesterday, I've seen Gravity , the well-known film with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. Don't worry, no spoilers, you can continue to read, I won't tell you the end.
Well, I'm mostly satisfied about this movie even if the plot was not complex, and sometimes the scenes were predictable. But, afterall, if I stop myself and I judge the movie only using these aspects I would not be completely honest. That's because, sometimes, movies are not only based on the plot, and other aspects must be evaluated and considered.
Said this, Gravity, in my opinion is one of the best existing films, as regards the setting, the shots, the images and the amazing view of the earth from space. Even in the drama and in dangerous situations, even when the characters are about to die, the magnificence and the glory of these views bring back the audience (and the characters) to a beauty and not to despair. More than once, despite being in the worst situations, the protagonists collide with this beauty and more than once the wonder and the hope to live pass over the evil that surrounds them. In my opinion here lies the strength of the film: it's the victory of hope over desolation.
For this reason, Gravity it's really a must-see movie, not for its plot, not only for the incredible special effects, but for the beauty that it's able to convey.
